There are standalone aps that can do that, but I like the integration aspect a lot. Highlight text, right click, send, and I've got a formatted link with blockquote of the highlight, very useful. Can do multiple selections for one post, but you currently need to do them all first before editting.

And yeah, moving away from full admin priviledges with every plugin I want to whatever I get wherever I end up will be annoying, odds of getting an IT manager prepared to let me loose very small methinks. Fx is (slowly) gaining grounds, but the bigger the company, the more hidebound the software requirements are it seems :-(
