In the US, it's currently true. The oppoosition makes the weather in political blogs; over here, the right leaning blogs are having more of an impact, no one wants to support Labour, LDs are too small, the non-aligned blogs get overlooked (but are frequently best), etc.

Plus tendency isn't all, there are some real loons out there blogging. I've had a number of them comment on mine...
