PRecisely; back when you had 3 - 5 channels, it was almost acceptable for disrption for major events, but these days, every pub in town will be showing it (well, not every, fortunately, markets work) and there are plenty of other channels they can be on.

Unfortunately, the wonderful Govt has a list of 'reserved' sporting events that have to be shown on network TV, and the FA cup is one of them. Just a silly game...
