The site you're linking to is not a Department of Justice site -- not a current one at any rate. They have a very different banner at the top of their site and Ashcroft hasn't been the Attorney General for a while now. Can you show me where you are seeing the information about some one detained for downloading from that site? Thanks

It's a USAF site, they're mirroring it, I have no clue why but it's a *.mil so it's a Govt site (unless I've misunderstood US Govt TLD allocation?).

The student in question was studying for a Masters at Nottingham Trent:

Yes, he was released after 6 days with no charge, but he shouldn't have been arrested at all, our Govt is still in an ongoing power grab operation and academics and students are getting caught in the crossfire :-(

Oh, I agree entirely that there's no reason to detain some one just for reading materials. I was just asking for more information about the events. You'll see that I found it in another newspaper, too.
