Because I, until recently, got my knowledge of politics from The Thick Of It, all I can do now is imagine Peter Capaldi shouting at ANYTHING.

Doh! Stupid woman.

But equally, what happened to her secretary reminding her? Hmmm...

The plot thickens...

Now you see, this is how I know I'm perverse. Because I find someone forgetting their own press conference to be kind of cool, and rather endearing. It's certainly something I can see myself doing.

However, I'm not sure it would be a great idea to have someone like me running a political party.

Comedy!
Miss Fraggles is quite right, wtf was her secretary/PA doing. My girlfriend has just finished a stint working for an MP in Westminster - every single member of his staff had to know his diary and this meant that it was almost impossible for him to miss meetings that he was meant to attend, because there would always be someone to remind him. At least it was only a press conference and not an important meeting

Didn't one of the libdem leadership candidates have some kind of press conference mishap too? Like not telling people where it was or something.

The words "piss up" and "brewery" spring to mind.

Hardly surprising they couldn't win a by-election, really.
