Ctrl+Option+Apple+8 puts the screen into reverse video on Macs.

There's something similar for Linux (may need to be enabled explicitly, don't think the key combo is standardised) and presumably for Windows too (presumably hiding under accessibility options).

This seems a better way of solving the problem than individual websites having to worry about it.
