I've done something silly? Again!?! Oh dear...

The chief designer gave a talk (video here) where he said nobody's come up with any good ideas yet for what modular robots could be used for, other than some vague uses in space. Thus toys are the first commercial market. (Oh - that's more or less what they say on the video link.)

I think uses are going to be found though, now they're getting out into the wild.
