So, Torchwood then...

Right, laptop plus telly equals liveblog attempt.

1) So far we've had a crappy joke about a bloke with a blowfish mask, a crap car chase, Jack magically appearing behind someone who got shot with clearly no one there.

Oh, and Spike's throwing people off buildings and showing off his guns.

2) Bar cleared of all but the pretty people, JAck's got his answermachine turned off but it's a holograph projector and Spike's made an Obi-Wan joke, can we hear it for "aimed at fandom" telly?

The snog, and now the fight. And we cut to the idiots in the car.

Jennie's sat next to me doing the same thing and I'm going to continue in the comments instead of constantly editing...

Edit after the broadcast: Well that was bollocks wasn't it? Better than last season but the first episode needed to be. LJ crapped out and would let either of us get here about half way through, but, well, it' would just've been angry ranting about frustrating plot devices and utter stupidity at all points. Anyone want a poll? Nah, didn't think so.

the fight is totally rubbish. it doesn't even look like anyone is getting hit.

So, secrit cannisters of doom must be worth a kabillion dollars.

You mean it's all a pointless episode so we get to know jack better? Perish the thought!

my lipgloss tastes like strawberry.

To be fair, whedon is hardly the first to go for that one, so his ripoff skills are ecumenical.

oh dear. That doesn't sound promising. We won't be seeing it here until the 26th.

Start running now.

Though I did quite like the Obi Wan Kenobi bit.
