Inspire me: what should I write about?

Heh, guess what? Yup, little bit of a malaise when it comes to the will to write posts at the moment. I think it might be linked to being too happy (sorry): I need a little bit of anger in my soul, and despite the perpetual money worries, life is good right now. I even have a few potential clients for the part-time consultancy I really should already have set up. Anyway, a few people are doing this meme:

Everyone has things they write about. Everyone has things they don't write about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other.

So, y'know, go on, suggest something--promises to actually write the post may or may not be kept for lack-of-motivation or distracted-by-Jennie reasons (especially if she's got the new top that claire_wain made for her on), but it might happen.

There's also the fair warning that many of you might get the "political leanings" request if you don't normally post about such things--this is me, after all.

I don't have any, as I tend to avoid thinking about it—my understanding is it's Japanese manga-style stuff involving gay underage schoolboys?

No more dodgy than hentai stuff involving lesbian schoolgirls really, although I'm always bothered by underage stuff.

If my understanding of what it is is wrong then maybe my opinion needs updating of course.

And "Thoughts on Yaoi" is the biggest meme that's ever originated from fandom_wank

But yeah, don't follow FW really, except when linked to it. Essentially it's gay-porn for women in the way most lesbian porn is for men? OK, fair enough, at least the Japanese market recognises the demand.

How about the time in your life that you felt closest to be connected to everything. I hope you know those moments -- when something in you bursts through the boundaries of your body and you feel yourself spread to encompass the universe.

Hmm, that could be interesting. I did amend the text a little to suit me, and I've seen further amendments morph around the f-list, and most know/understand the circumstances.

Obviously I'd love a full warts-and-all write up when you're no longer stationed there but reasons to not do so make sense.

But yes, um, interesting. I can only remember one specific time off the top of my head but others will come to me I'm sure.
