Date: 2009-04-03 11:13 am (UTC)2 Independents really annoying, the local paper, naturally, gave them blanket coverage--one is a grocer in the Halifax market complaining about something local, the other was the head of Kerbside, the local social enterprise recycling company--they lost their sub-contract to do the recycling in half the borough last year, and it's been an ongoing issue.
But running in a by election was counter productive, especially given he was effectively splitting our votes off, and we'd been backing them all the way, plus conflict of interest rules would've meant he couldn't do much anyway.
Ah well. Was a good fight anyway.
