Lots of annoying bands, a small number of pretty flashes, but they're only cool if oyu're directly looking. If, for example, you live in the middle of a resort town that sets them off all the time and you rarely see them, all you get is lots of annoying bangs.
Cats hate them. I like cats. That's another good reason.
