I've killed me phone...

Again. Got out the shower earlier, phone was beeping, I'd received a call or message. So I pick it up, and drop it. Screen is now completely dead and hasn't responded to my usual trick of switching it off, taking out the battery then putting it all back in again.

So, to whoever messaged or rang this morning, yeah, um, sorry. No idea who or what the message was. Normally, an overnight switch off will fix this (it's happened before), if not it's either drive to Torquay to get the spare, very old, handset, or finally getting around to sorting out my contract and getting a new handset. Either is an option, but in the meantime, people can ring me, and I can dial a number I already know, but nowt else. Oops...

In other news, SNOW! I've not seen snow that actually took and stayed on the ground outside my bedroom window wince I was a little kid. Sure, I've seen it in other parts of the country, but not where I actually live. My car is white. OK, it's supposed to be white normally, but today it actually is, and not that muddy brown colour it seems to have picked up since I bought it.

Anyway, finished what I was doing this morning, nice and clean, so off to town again it is.

<misquote>"The greatest trick snow ever pulled was convincing everybody it didn't exist... and 'poof', it was gone!"</misquote>

What snow? At least it means my Tube journey back home will be quiet this evening due to the number of WAHers - it only took me 1 3/4 hours to do 7 miles this morning!

Though it may need unlocking - I don't know about these newfangled things - I have a couple of Nokia handsets knocking around that you could try. One was on Orange, the other on O2.

Snow! Woo! We had a lot of rain here, and some hail when I went for my walk at lunchbreak (I didn't really care - it mostly just bounced off my hat, and it was funny watching all the people at the train station scurry for cover).

Have you tried taking your phone apart and putting all the little pieces somewhere warm, like in an airing cupboard, before putting them back together? Usually works.
