Silly quiz which showed up from two disparate friends next to each other on my friends page, nhw here ad liz_marcs here. So that's a respectied international diplomat / SF reviewer and a US journalist / fandom commentator. Well, if it's good enough for them I suppose...

Some of the questions were a bit 'um?', and a few were very US-centric "did you take the SKWDL test?" why no, no I didn't, because, y'know, I've never heard of it. Still, I got a fairly middle ground set of results (Liz got the same as me for Mandarin, but much higher for Talent and slightly lower for Lifer, Nicholas is way off the scale for Mandarin.

I have a huge text file of saved quiz results in notepad, when people do them I tend to fill in the quiz but not actually post them. At some point, if I get really bored, I may clear that file out. Be afraid, be Very Afraid.

The 'random selection of letters' test. I have a vague idea what a SAT s, but the rest of the things they mentioned were new to me. So I had no idea if I'd even taken the equivalents. Not that it really matters.

Haha, oh. I didn't actually look at the quiz before, so I was really really confused. :-p

The SAT is the standard aptitude test for getting into college. There's a math section, a verbal section, and a writing section. The GRE is basically the same thing, only for getting into grad school. The LSAT is for getting into law school and has math, verbal, logic, and writing. And the MCAT is for getting into med school, but I don't know many details about it. Same idea, though.

Ah, so in that case I've taken the equivalent of the SAT twice and haven't done the other equivalents because, well, only did my BA.

Cool, thx. I did stop posting these completely, but I do like when my friends post, even if it's only a quiz, better than nowt, so I may dig up a bigger pile of them.
