See, I'm trying to cut back on CCGs. I'm trying to not get back into anything expensive, trying to do different things with my spare time and money. I've even been discussing why CCGs fail in the UK at L5R-UK. But then [livejournal.com profile] shakalooloo goes and posts a link to the new trailer for the next Legend of the Five Rings expansion (larg(ish) Quicktime movie). There is some damn good looking art in that set. And they killed the emperor? The Shogun is at war with the Lion, and the Khan is making his claim? Külness.

Maybe I could just go read the story and look at the spoilers...

Talking of CCGs, I have almost complete sets of Kult and Heresy that are just gathering dust. Selling them on ebay is going to garner me all of 50p, so if you want 'em honey, just shout...

V:TES has a similar problem, lacking much by way of support in shops, lack of shops etc. Also, the dedicated players have a tendency to buy online, which causes some problems.

However, some friends in Los Angeles (http://www.vtesinla.org/) have bucked the trend. They have little to do with shops for V:TES - they buy online, they trade singles online (or amongst themselves, obviously), but regularly play in local colleges. People stop by, take a look, and they get chatting about the game. They seem to pick up a steady stream of newbies doing this.
