Some worthy LJ Suggestions

Over at suggestions we have Change Subject Line of "New Comment" Emails and more importantly Combining tags. The latter is a function I would love to have as tags I thought I'd use a lot just weren't, and currently I just delete one-offs I did use after awhile. Then there are my perpetual misspellings and typos...

One off tags get deleted? That's bullshit! And clicking on a tag doesn't show you all the entries for the tag either which is irritating.

I wish the tag page gave a tag cloud like the sidebar on your journal as well.

Ah, not automatically, no, I'll see if I can re-word that a bit, I meant I go through every 6 months or so and delete any one-offs I've not ued for ages.

But yes, the 100 maximum skip for tags is also annoying; one of the reasons I now have life: 2004 and life: 2007 as tags, and I suspect why nhw splits his bookblog tags up into quarters. I'd really like them to fix that; Wordpress doesn't have that issue, one of the reasons I'm planning to switch at some point.

That's actually possible in S2, I've seen it done a few times, but haven't the faintest idea how to do it; the best one I saw had a multi-use cloud, with one-offs listed separately, that's really good. The way mine works isn't ideal, the text sizes don't scale well, but it's better than just a list given te way I use them.

Biggest issue I have with LJ is the lack of documentation, which given it's an Open Source effort is daft. PLZ can we have a Wiki instead of all those hard to navigate/search help communities?

Somehow, the latter surprises me not at all. I think being vegetarian was one of the things that got me good marks, and how does your music preference assist your evil rating?

I love that the evil quiz is getting way more attention thant he actual post content, but just to be sure you saw the suggestion about tags, because, y'know, it rocks.

I'd really like to split one off as well, editing 196 posts tagged life is not something I really want to do manually...

Still, they really need to get it done, I know LJ is in perpetual beta anyway, but some basic level things just makes sense. Ah well.
