Quick YouTube / file format question

Just got in, eating, then I'll be trying to edit the footage I took in Trafalgar Square into something reasonable and try to post it somewhere.

So questions are: I'll wade around their FAQs in a bit, but does anyone know if YouTube'll accept .3gp as a file format for upload? If not, can anyone recommend me some software (preferably open source) to convert it to something I can upload?

Odds are of course that the footage will be awful, but it's worth a try, even if only to hear Terry Gilliam proclaim his Britishness to the crowd.

ETA: The FAQs were useless, they do accept 3gp but don't say so, so I'll hold off DLing a converter to later.

try riva to create the kinds of files that youtube tends to enjoy (.flv files). dunno if it accepts .3gp files for conversion, though.

Riva doesn't list .3gp, but then, neither does YouTube, and they accept them, so I'll leave it for a bit; at some point I'll get a proper editor and start doing funky stuff, but until then...
