The memory that most comes to my mind isn't a specific one, but is the generalise 'Mat realising that yes, in this particular instance, he is wrong' look, complete with looking down at table/whatever, and fidgeting with his ponytail.

Yeah, it's actualy something the Exeter players have helped me to hide for awhile, I'm actually not that good compared to quite a few people. I can do rules backwards, and give me a reasonable deck I can be fine, but mostly I'm just average.

Except when we travel, when Chris lends me a deck, coaches me, and I do well enough to maintain the illusion...

Or you just got lucky.

Having difficulty choosing, here. I mean, obviously it has to be at least fairly clean, for a public post. Which rules out quite a lot. Including that very first meeting in Camden, where I spent quite a lot of the time hoping you were going to go to the bar again so I could perve over your backside...

And clearly, something on LJ that I can link to would be good.

I think it comes down to a choice of two, really:

Ah, late night last minute tournament prep. Those were the days. If you could do CCG tournaments without the expense and the need to constantly practice,I'd still be playing, but the night before deck crashing was part of the appeal, and drafts just didn't have that appeal.

Ah well. Might have to go looking for LExx episodes to DL; had the first two eps for a bit, but sold the boxed set because, well, crap.

Really? The readability is good, I try to lay out a 'proper' post in a way that makes it usable, but I also thought I was explaining stuff well; you'll have to harass me to explain stuff better, because I'm not really technical, so I try to write about stuff in a non-technical way.
