Hmm, yes, they are. Really regretting not sorting my head out a bit more and doing a lot of docs/installs for the wiki now, I've not touched it, and your mail is still in my "put aside a lot of thinking time" folder to respond to, what 4 months on. Ouch, moving, new job, memory failures, then a perfect lost opportunity.
I think with a few tweakes Wordpress MU would be perfect for a lot of what fandom wants, but haven't even tried a test install yet. Ah well.
Still, they're moving; people are looking into other options and planning to jump off; they're looking at another centralised site still, but that could be changed; decentralised archives with a central search engine would make much more sense. Hmm, and it'd clear up a lot of their legal concerns.
