This are a test post. There is nothing really to see. However, if you fancy following the link and saying hello to test the OpenID login, that'd be cool.

Gotta love beta testing features, this might not even work...

ETA: not only does it work, but apparently it auto-edits as well. How cool is that?

More that a little, yes.

Plus, you see the layout I have here looks remarkably similar to my LJ one in colour? That's because the basic layout allows you to define all colours it uses. All I've done is tell it my colour preferences and I'm happy with it, when I've the chance I'll actually mod it a lot, but even at a basic level it's more flexible than anything LJ has.

It wasn't--something they're working on is improve the user experience if logging in from an individual post, they really want OpenID to 'just work', but it's not there yet.

It's still substantially better than the LJ implementation, which is good.

You need to tell them your email address and clicky the link in the email they send you.

That LJ isn't set up to ask you if it's OK to do this for you is because LJ's OpenID implementation is still stuck in stone age.

I'm sure this'll work, but given you've crossposted to LJ, wouldn't it be cool if the comments appeared there as well? (Well, maybe - I've not thought into whether that'd really be a good idea...)

BTW, the crosspost on LJ didn't allow for comments. Is that optional or hard-wired?

Optional, I've chosen to turn off comments there as I want conversation in one place—until we're out of closed beta I'll mostly not be crossposting, and I doubt I'll switch completely until my paid LJ time expires, so for a bit it'll be seperate posts with seperate content unless I specifically want stuff to be in both places or am testing something.

And sort of—I don't want the comments from here to display there, ideally I want what's there to be summary/pre-cut content only. What I do want is some way of displaying over there how many comments there are over here, which is doable I think but not likely to happen soon.
