By way of both [livejournal.com profile] cons_phlebas_fd and [livejournal.com profile] officialgaiman, we have a blog based seminar discussion on my book of the year, which is a follow up to the one they previously did on my favourite author. Haven't really started reading either of them yet, but, well, figured those with literary taste would like to know about it early. You are reading them already, right?

I read in this month's SFX Xmas supplement that Jon Courtenay Grimwood has another new book out as well, hardback only as yet, to go alongside the new [livejournal.com profile] grrm Song of Ice and Fire book. Can't afford to buy hardbacks at the moment, reading is backlogged anyway, still haven't started Anansi Boys let alone finished His Dark Materials, but, well, still want them. [livejournal.com profile] paulatpingu, I don't think I got around to lending you Grimwood's Stamping Butterflies, want me to bring it up next time I'm up in Exeter?

Please. It's about time I actually read something again, and Grimwood's not a bad place to start.
