System stats redux

Being mostly for the benefit of waka_laka and springhazsprung, but also for all those taking an interest in the browser wars. PRetty good day for visitors on the 'blog, including a fair few from various bits of Ireland, which is cool. Browser of choice?

Firefox, naturally. Increasingly, people are abandoning IE. This means two things;

1. Microsoft needs to really improve the product with IE 7 in order to stay in the game
2. Anyone serious about design and coding needs to programme for both, which means standards compliant needs to be the order of the day. Current standards may not be great, but designers need to follow something.

IE isn't the only game in town anymore. Those of you still reading the web using the default, dated software and want to try the fresh, new, faster, better Firefox, could also help feed me by going to http://not-little-england.blogspot.com and clicking ont he little link to download it; I get paid money if you try it. Well, actually, I'll get money at some point once enough people have done so, nowhere near there yet, but the principle is the thing, right?

Still not 100% well, spent a fair amount of time sat on the toilet this morning, and not sleeping well at night. Still, the boss cheered me up a little today; the MD is good, it's just a shame that I'm losing interest. Still undecided whether to stay on permanently, just for this summer or try to leave soon. I do enjoy the job, it's just, well, at times I just need to shout. Builders have done a great job on the revamp though, building and grounds actually look good. Given the budget, that's impressive. I, um, need to wear a non-black shirt tomorrow; I want to send out a picture of me and Zo to the new applicant families, make it more personal; the boss agrees, but "nothing personal Mat, but can you wear a shirt that isn't black for the photo?". I, um, don't think I have any. I'll have to check I guess, there's likely to be something that's, um, grey ish?

Are the stats for your LJ or blogger?

Suprised not to see Camino on there - it's what I read it on from uni. Possibly it's misreading it as firefox, as it's mozilla based.

Blogger, don't track LJ stats, don't care and friends lists make them all over the place anyway.

Is it possible that Camino is the Mozilla 5.0 that keeps cropping up? I can't figure that one out, Fx is at 1.5.0, and Moz/Seamonkey is at 1.3 ish.

You don't know how glad I was when mum said she was getting married back in December, and she said I could wear black...

Yeah, I think I may have to buy a few shirts that arn't black or black/grey/white checks, just so I can wear them on occasions when it's really not appropriate.

Not many, mind, just something slightly different.

Cool; some of it is draxar and some are genuine readers wot came to the blog from sources other than me keeping telling them to.

It's going well actually, much better than I thought, I got an email from a blog I live reading asking for advice on building up readership. That threw me a little, turns out his stats are dire, 1/10th our readership. That's why I linked to Atlantic Rift the other day, cos they're underated and then some...

Possibly, but then, I've had a nice overnight break in Bude as well, so life can be fun at times.

Mebbe we should change the subject for a bit? Honestly, you're as stubborn as an ox. At least they've got an excuse
