Andreas Katsulas died on Monday. Having recently watched the first four seasons again (thanks to DVD loans from [livejournal.com profile] nadriel and [livejournal.com profile] paulatpingu), this depresses me, he truly made that series, and was obviously a damn fine actor. I think I shall watch an episode again tonight before sleeping, in his honour.

Also, and this scares me, they're remaking Monkey. This seems, wrong, to me. Monkey is Monkey, next up they'll be doing an English language version, or getting the dubbing to actually make sense.

Ah well. Both stories on Murky, really must see if it's syndicated already, impressive reach that site.

Oh yeah, I don't think I mentioned it here. Shiny Thing. When I was talking about StoryCode a few weeks back, it was because I was alpha testing BlogCode, which is very cool. Especially as it no longer thinks my best match is Harry's Place.

It's a real shame about Katsulas and came as a real surprise - I didn't even know he was ill. He was only 59 too...

Watching a memory in his honour is an incredibly good idea. Now all I must do is choose an episode. It's not just Babylon 5 though, he was involved in loads of SciFi stuff, from Max Headroom to Star Trek. I will miss not seeing him in any more TV shows.

G'Kar was indeed a favourite character, from what few episodes of Babylon 5 I watched. I need to see it again.. Mat, can I borrow the DVDs after I borrow Firefly? :)

Right, fortunately my parents have my old B5 videos, so there will be episode watching, I think.

Damn. :-(

They say better late than never, but my words & thoughts on this news saddens me.

I'm proud to say that I watched Babylon 5, and some might sneer at putting sci-fi in the same bracket as genuine drama. Andreas put in a performance that was spell-binding to say the least. Few people can create a character the moves from buffon to visionary, then pulled into the depths of the abyss.

Tonight I shall revisit a few of my fave episodes.
