I, am not sober...

Got talked into going on the annual work boat trip (witha attached bar). Apparently you can't call the booze cruises any more, because someone decided that that was "encouraging binge drinking". Right, like Torquay harbourside is normally full of sober people.

Anyway, it was good. I'm a little drunk. Decided to leave before the rest went to the club as a) I hate nightclubs generally, b) Valbonnes is a really bad club c) I was happy, so leave on a high and d) meh, tired.

So, I am not sober, but am happy, and really must remember how good the bay looks at night from a boat, I keep forgetting. Probably ought to go out on the water more often, it's been ages since I went sailing or rowing, which is a bit daft really. Anyway...

Exeter people? Warning...

They let [livejournal.com profile] waka_laka in. Actually, given how crazy you all are, she'll fit in fine. Katie? http://xnet.ex.ac.uk/forums/

Haven't been there much for ages, but they're still pretty good, especially at this time of year. There are a few communities in my u-info worth a look at as well.

Went to the Dentists today. For those that don't know me that well, that's a pretty momentous event; Iwrote teh full version as to why up here on [livejournal.com profile] devils_kitchen; as is usual for a post on the kitchen, swearing and insults are de rigeuer. Short version, haven't seen a dentist properly in five years, last time I had any treatment, the butcher messed it up, I had a very painful extraction and it scared me off.

My parents signed up with a new NHS dentist, and signed me up at the same time. So, I went. And am still alive. Not sure I can afford to pay for the 7 fillings I need, but at least I know I need them. Actually, on the money front, if any Amazon buyers feel helpful, can you go there via a link from the blog when you plan to buy stuff? Could do with the cash. Cost you nowt but a few more clicks, and we get 10%. Yay!

On the way home, it was raining, so my plan of a wonder down the seafront with the camera turned into a walk back to the flat. Went into the local store, and couldn't resist the temptation to buy a bottle of whiskey. Small one mind, not getting carried away. So, I've had a nice relaxing day off recovering from the dentists and slowly getting happy drinking whiskey.

Today has also been the second busiest on the blog ever; Wednesday was the third. The busiest was when someone linked to the stupid blonde joke via a Libertines forum (yes, I felt dirty). Finally made the breakthrough, might even actually get somewhere with the Liberty Central project.
