I don't, normally, talk about the weather
2006-Jul-18, Tuesday 17:30[Poll #772612]
I have a goldfish bowl for an office. The fire exist we used to prop open was removed in the refurnishment. We ahve a flat roof. We have no ventilation.
I have a mild sunlight allergy, and, well, goth, not renowned for liking daylight anyway.
Still, the customers are happy (sort of), although some of the Spanish clients think it's too hot. Look, if the Spanish and Turks think it's too hot? It's too damned hot, gottit?
I'll, um, do the write up/instructions for the Google Bomb later in the week, the votes are in though...

Date: 2006-Jul-18, Tuesday 16:44 (UTC)(And my home is not airconditioned, but it is a basement apartment with good ventilation.)
The weather is awesome. I just need more days off work so I can spend more days out in the sun beside the pool.

Date: 2006-Jul-18, Tuesday 16:47 (UTC)Argh! Us Brits don't do airconditioning, that sort of thing is for strange foreign types.
Only room at work with it is the server cupboard, which is too small to stand up in...
As of next week, I can take as much as I like off, but don't think I will be...

Date: 2006-Jul-18, Tuesday 16:58 (UTC)The kind who are also mad swimming/skating junkies?
The kind who absolutely love working up a mad sweat and jumping in a pool at the end of it?
The kind who took up Muay Thai and made a decent showing as a competitive fighter for the fun of it?
Or maybe the kind who live in Canada, and so know what it's like to be stuck with *-40* weather for weeks at a time?
I love the heat.

Date: 2006-Jul-18, Tuesday 17:02 (UTC)I like where I live because we don't do extremes (normally), no snow in the winter, no excessive heat in the summer. ah well.
Still, at least it gives an excuse to the boss for not getting much done.

Date: 2006-Jul-18, Tuesday 21:20 (UTC)Having the air-con on at work has resulted in complaints from some of the females (who are wearing practically nothing as it is) that they are too cold, so the order is to turn it off...leaving the guys (all in shirts and ties) sweating like pigs.
Then some bright spark decides to have all the fire exits open (and the air con on), thus wasting all the cold air!!!
Numpties. Still, today was alright, although I was a little disappointed that the BBC changed their weather forecast overnight. They were forecasting a day of thunderstorms on Wednesday yesterday...today though it has changed to rain. Not only that, but they've hiked up the maximum temperatures for the rest of the week by a good four degrees.
Seems like the heat is here to stay...

Date: 2006-Jul-18, Tuesday 21:52 (UTC)Torbay council offices down the end of my street (friend works there), it's been a perpetual complaint for the last two years, so they schedule work to move the vents to more spread out positions and generally improve the work.
It'll take a week, during which time it'll be switched off. It's been scheduled by the works team for ages.
This week. Bwah hah!
People not 'getting' what air-con does is one of those d'oh! things. But at least you've got it.

Date: 2006-Jul-18, Tuesday 22:32 (UTC)Staying in the kitchen, sitting at Mark's computer, going to the gym = cold.
Today, I have kept at a fairly constant temperature, mostly due, I believe, to the fact that I am a girl and can get cold quicker than boys can.

Date: 2006-Jul-18, Tuesday 23:43 (UTC)I know that the girls at work complain it's too cold when I'm wtill thinking it's too hot. Obviously, when same girls complain it's too hot, I'm dying.
