If she hadn't asked a question about where to buy a DVD, I'd never have gone to the site. Oops...
paulatpingu, I nearly bought some B5 DVDs, but as you're working your way through the set, I figured we ought to start trying to swap stuff. Any Devon people interested in setting up some sort of DVD lending thing? I only got the player a few months ago. Ah well, is spending your money on sci-fi tv series more or less geeky than spending it on CCGs? I kick one addiction and go straight into another. Still haven't bought the flight tickets for Bologna next weekend either.
In other news, um, not much. I'm getting fed up repeating my availabilty to various GW types; "I can do evenings and weekends, I'd rather not work Sunday, I'd prefer it if you gave the hours to people who need the money, I'm always available in an emergency". How hard is that for a manager to understand? I felt a little sorry for the Plymouth manager while we were talking though, he's obviously a careerist, and I didn't have the heart to burst his bubble; "I work here when needed, because it's fun and a break fromt he office. I don't want a career with the company, I helped train both of your current bosses when they started with the company, and I earn more than you do, I don't need the money." I don't think he'd have liked that. Was supposed to work tonight, but I was asked to switch to Thursday instead.
Suits me, meant I could listen to the new Guide episode at first broadcast. Went to Jason's Sunday, played Pirates of the Spanish Main; great game, we've, um, bought a few boats for it; recommend it to anyone who likes the idea of miniature games but, like me, can't be arsed by all the painting bollocks, it's better than the other games they've done because the models actually look reasonably good when put together. That and the Captain Jack Sparrow impressions you can do...
Well, back to catching up with webcomics; to those annoyed by the star wars link in my last post? You didn't have to click it, and, well, I just needed to share the pain. Still haven't completely ruled out London this weekend coming; Mike, if I do come up, I'll find a cheap hotel in town, but likely park near you. Unlikely to happen, but, well, I could do with a break and
kittenfangs is going; bit daft to meet up with a friend who lives in Devon by going to London really...
