Oh Michael? Look what I found:
Yup, it's my Elf team. The first miniatures I ever bought, and amongst the first I ever painted. Scarily, of the figures I own, they're also the best painted unit, even though I last redid them when I was 18, way before I'd spent 10 years working for the company painting figures every day. My Cawdor gang for Necromunda is quite good, but these just rule.

Anyway, the point of all this? Well, after last weeks debacle, I have gone through all the gaming crap piled on the storage shelf and dug out the team I know I can win with. So, firstly, a rematch my friend. When?

Secondly? londonbloodbowl. Only just set it up, no posts, or rules, or anything. If Mike and I are going to be playing regularly, might as well organise something, right? I've sent invites to those who expressed an interest, but anyone else, feel free to join and we'll see what we can arrange.

Wow! They are lovely. Though I'm afraid in my family were more into chucking them at each other than painting and actually playing with them. I forget why we thought this fun. I don't suppose it matters, though.

Friend in the company used to do demos for Trade, touring areas that didn't yet have stores of their own. One group were convinced that Dwarves were impossible to beat because you couldn't knock them over with the dice!

But yeah, I've just dug out some other figures, and they're actually better than I remembered, really was quite good when I was younger, maybe I should start painting again...

The figures were sculpted by a noted aesthete with little sense of practicality. They're Elves. I made a feeble attempt at team colours that didn't quite work.

They're pointy eared gits so they're going to be wrong by default. Fortunately, they're good at BB and suit my playstyle, so I have a fully painted team I can in with. Hopefully.

I tend to play for the long haul if we set up a league, first few matches matter not, as long as the team survives. I might let him win as long as I can score a few points, takes a few games for them all to learn to duck...

Oh. My. God. Blood Bowl. It's been sooo long... So long, in fact, that I don't even have the game anymore. Started playing with some young'uns (well, youngish... They were about 20, I was about 25) a few years back, kept winning even when they tried the Patent Undead Juggernaut O'Doom, left the game at their place one time, never went back until a whiles later when I found they'd moved.

Go in, talk to Steve (the short haired owner) or Laurence/shakalooloo, the crazy Welsh part timer, and they'll be able to set you up with a game easy, was them that ran the lat league I was in. But yeah, lost copies of the game, opponents moving away, always stops something like that.

Oh yeah, but one foul per turn, and 10 plus just makes it a casualty, you work the rest out after a game, and it's 50/50 badly hurt, no effect.

There have been times when the entire Elf team has sat down, because then you can't hurt more than one per turn...

Besides, if I keep scoring, you don't get much chanc, and Elves don't drop balls.
