Those percentages really don;t add up to 100...

Well no, they wouldn't, it's a ticky box poll; they're the %age that voted for that option out of all the respondents; hence 50% think chips. Radio buttons give a total % of 100, checkboxes give % of those who've voted; I prefer the latter TBH--there's some wazzy research that says it's a better way of gauging opinion, etc.
