Those percentages really don;t add up to 100...

Well no, they wouldn't, it's a ticky box poll; they're the %age that voted for that option out of all the respondents; hence 50% think chips. Radio buttons give a total % of 100, checkboxes give % of those who've voted; I prefer the latter TBH--there's some wazzy research that says it's a better way of gauging opinion, etc.

I like chips, and friday is traditionally fish and chips night (or battered sausage and chips for me).

This has nothing to do with anything. But my son just saw your icon and was all excited that "Mommy, dere pirate on computer! Is your friend! You know pirate! Yay! Pirate pirate pirate *continue with exclamations of joy*"

I would make a movie of him being excited, because he's doing a little dance and everything, but it's a pantsless (potty training) dance and I doubt he'd appreciate it later.

Anyway- just so you know.

Having ticky boxes for everything results in me refusing to vote - more for reasons of confusion and free-reign than any 'voting tactics' so dear to your heart.

It is fast becoming an age-old question among popular culture. I wonder if the little girl in the advert who chose chips over Daddy has become an obese single mother by now.
