I recognise number 4, but can't think where from, and so the 'East India Company' bit made me think of POTC for some reason. I think it just goes to show how hard it is to recognise some of these out of context - there'll be a lot of 'Oh, of course!' when the answers arrive, I'm sure.

For what it's worth, I don't think I've managed to get a single correct answer on any of the times it's cropped up on other journals, and I did deliberately go for obscure quotes.
