I've bolded the stuff I'd like to see, but nothing specifc yet—some of the stuff I haven't highlighted (like Phibes) is cool but I've watched it recently as Jennie's got the DVD. It's in Bradford, 20 minutes by bus from us here in Brighouse, anyone wanting advice for accommodation give us a shout, sofa space may still be available.

Pah, couple hours by train is nothing, and Bradford does have some good points (the demolished town centre isn't one of them mind, but still...)

Would be good to see you if you can make it up, I reckon there's a chunk of the programme you'd probably like.

Megabus would be between £3.50 and £10 each way depending on travel time. Our spare room is taken but the sofa I think is free (I think, not 100% sure on that one).

Of course—I suspect the Lodge will have a bag storage facility, but we've got plenty of space for bags if needed.

Also? There's a Doomtown CCG card with that quote on, loved that game (hence all the icons).

Cool! No booking link? I guess you have to phone the box office? Must remember to book room at the Waterfront Lodge. Shall do so tonight.

I haven't seen Phibes in ages and I don't think I've ever seen them in the original.

Are the double bills incl. in the weekend pass?

Yup, everything's included in the weekend pass, but you have to get tickets for individual performances when you get there, to be sure of a seat.

Ah right, I remember you mentioned this causing some confusion. I assume you get a ticket and show your pass instead of payment?

Yeah, you don't need to pay for the tickets if you have the pass, but they guarantee you a seat. :)

I think the only thing that the pass doesn't cover is the IMAX stuff, which you have to book seperately.

And I don't see any IMAX stuff on the programme anyway! :)

Damn, there's some good stuff on that list! And of course Bradford is jolly convenient for me too, and it would be lovely to meet you and snapesbabe anyway. I'll have to pick and choose a bit, as we'll have our External Examiners visiting that weekend, and we're all morally obliged to accompany them out for dinner at least once. Am leaning mainly towards the Sunday at the moment, though the Phibes stuff on the Saturday is tempting...

Excellent. I'll repost the list of films to my own LJ, if that's OK, and see if I can drum up some further interest from my local buddies.

I'm sure the examiners would love to come, but sadly for them they'll be locked in a big room full of exam scripts from dawn till dusk on all of those days. They're only allowed out to eat. :-)

Not really—lots of UK goths on LJ, I met Pen in innerbrat's comments, SB through Who fandom. Common interests plus small world—most of UK LJ can be linked through a 3 person chain IIRC, even if most users are still in very small clusters.

I assume chrisvenus, davefish and keris are Oxford Uni connected (while I know them via gaming or because they moved to Cambs), her interest in archaeology would explain jholloway (while I know him via gaming), three (ex) Cambs goths but the lone ditzy_pole is odd. ;o)

Oh yeah, there are very few degrees of separation on LJ, especially when you know one of the hubs.
