The Political memes & Civ2
2005-Dec-09, Friday 20:54Been there and done that. So people now doing the memes I did months ago can feel free to bow to my superior meme spotting skills, and then get glowered at for not doing them when I did.
I really liked the Survey one when I did it, but am now back in favour of the Political Compass because I much prefer the 4-way graph, and it's very relevent to today given that most of the parties are chasing the centre ground economically, they're arguing over authority vs liberty.
OK, Civ 2. I'm playing Test of Time, I may have run an extended game by mistake, my power is supreme, etc etc. Thing is, I can't find the Mongols, who are beating me on all of those "Pliny writes his..." thing. I've searched the entire map and can't see them, I've even saved the game and gone into cheat mode. I haven't got any instructions and googling keeps getting me civ4 stuff, anyone got any suggestions?
zechnophobe thinks it may be that they're on the 'other map'. What other map?
I'm, um, supposed to not be playing computer games. They're addictive, and when I start I can't stop. They're bad for me. My name is MatGB, and I am a computer addict.
Update:

Jeremy tells me that means they're on their way to me. Guess I'd better finish smiting the rest of the continent then...

Date: 2005-Dec-10, Saturday 17:21 (UTC)Now, given I have every tech advance there is, um, how do I go smite them? The silly Zulu's declared war on me earlier today, they've got one city left, 1 turn to take a continent, that's just silly...

P.S. some units that you get post space program can move directly from map to map, check the civilopedia for advanced sounding units.
