Been there and done that. So people now doing the memes I did months ago can feel free to bow to my superior meme spotting skills, and then get glowered at for not doing them when I did.

I really liked the Survey one when I did it, but am now back in favour of the Political Compass because I much prefer the 4-way graph, and it's very relevent to today given that most of the parties are chasing the centre ground economically, they're arguing over authority vs liberty.

OK, Civ 2. I'm playing Test of Time, I may have run an extended game by mistake, my power is supreme, etc etc. Thing is, I can't find the Mongols, who are beating me on all of those "Pliny writes his..." thing. I've searched the entire map and can't see them, I've even saved the game and gone into cheat mode. I haven't got any instructions and googling keeps getting me civ4 stuff, anyone got any suggestions? [livejournal.com profile] zechnophobe thinks it may be that they're on the 'other map'. What other map?

I'm, um, supposed to not be playing computer games. They're addictive, and when I start I can't stop. They're bad for me. My name is MatGB, and I am a computer addict.

Update:

Jeremy tells me that means they're on their way to me. Guess I'd better finish smiting the rest of the continent then...

Okay, it's essentially an advert for Civilisation, but CivAnon is quite amusing.

If you play test of time sometimes they have it so you can build cities in the sky and under the sea etc and you have to build specific improvements to get to them if you aren't one of the civilisations that are automatically granted those units (like mer people etc).

Mat, to check if there are other maps, just click on the mini Map in the upper right (To make it go into 'flat' mode). There should be a pair of arrows (One up one down) in the upper LEFT of the mini map thinggy. That denotes that you can look at other worlds.

You have to build a spaceship, alla the space race victory. In the extended game it simply sends your guys to the other planet, and allows you to build teleportation type buildings in your city. (You can send a unit from ANY city, to another city on the other map, as long as you have a teleporter thinggy in the TARGET city (Not the source city)).

Cheers.

P.S. some units that you get post space program can move directly from map to map, check the civilopedia for advanced sounding units.
