I can't afford the petrol :-(
bloggerheads of course.
FromYou are cordially invited to a public carol service in Parliament Square at 6pm on Wednesday the 21st of December 2005.
This inclusive service will contain both Christian and secular verse, and is expected to last no more than an hour.
Candles and song sheets will be made available, with donations going to Medical Aid for Iraqi Children.
Please note that if you attend this carol service, it will classify as a spontaneous demonstration (of faith, hope, joy and/or religious tolerance) and there is a possibility that you will be cautioned or arrested under Section 132 of the Serious and Organised Crimes and Police Act 2005.

Date: 2005-Dec-16, Friday 07:44 (UTC)Oh, agree completely, but publicity helps. The organiser is also Boris Johnson's webmaster, runs a non-partizan politicians and the web advisory thing and knows what he's doing for the most part.
Essentially, if a bunch of carol singers get arrested, it makes the law look very bad. If they don't, then the law isn't being enforced properly. Either way, the govt's legislation is in trouble. Besides, it's funny.
4 more years of the bastards is more, I think, than I can take.

Date: 2005-Dec-16, Friday 16:41 (UTC)The 'old' Tories were evil incarnate, but Cameron's taking them in a liberal direction; they're still economically tot he Right, but at least they're not trying to moralise on us, at least not in theory. We'll see. Better them than NuLab. It really hurts me saying that. See last and, indeed, next post on the blog...
