A rodent-eating snake and a hamster have developed an unusual bond ...Their relationship began ... when zookeepers presented the hamster to the snake as a meal Via [livejournal.com profile] bssc_world

Isn't it cute? The snake, of course, the hamster is just a rodent. On the other hand, does [livejournal.com profile] simon_copp know his favoured username means meal?

Feeling a lot better now, but still not 100% right; should be in Exeter Sunday, not sure yet...

It also means 'rice' I think. Or that's what I gathered from a rather confusing conversation with a Japanese man about a poster of agricultural products.

A snippit of conversation I had with George earlier...

Just what is it with hamsters these days?

Befriending snakes, being sent through the post...a life of a hamster certainly isn't as dull as everyone makes out!

On a serious note though - have you followed all the links to the other strange-but-cute unions between animals? I quite like the hippo/tortoise union myself...

He's called Gohan! *cracks up*

Seriously, that's both weird and cute. How Japanese.

"Used to" being the operative phrase...

If ever you're on msn and I'm in the mood, I'll tell you a story about it.

Ooh, I did see this the other day, I think it was in the Times, and I laughed because of the Odo Factor.

Also, I thought it was very cute that the snake didn't want to eat the hamster, though maybe the hamster has hypnotic voodoo powers over the Snake, much like Derren Brown and the British Public.
