Isn't it cute? The snake, of course, the hamster is just a rodent. On the other hand, does simon_copp know his favoured username means meal?

Feeling a lot better now, but still not 100% right; should be in Exeter Sunday, not sure yet...

Befriending snakes, being sent through the post...a life of a hamster certainly isn't as dull as everyone makes out!

On a serious note though - have you followed all the links to the other strange-but-cute unions between animals? I quite like the hippo/tortoise union myself...

Didn't notice them, must pay more attention to BBC related links on quirky stories.

I reckon hamster have always had interesting lives, it's just we never notice. All that sleeping is really when they're astrally projecting and spying on people.

Ooh, I did see this the other day, I think it was in the Times, and I laughed because of the Odo Factor.

Also, I thought it was very cute that the snake didn't want to eat the hamster, though maybe the hamster has hypnotic voodoo powers over the Snake, much like Derren Brown and the British Public.
