Support the Project (redux)

mapp and others may be interested in The Project, I found a link to it on another blog and clicked it because of the old little trick.

Also, I'm experimenting with del.ici.us as a way of putting a linklog on the blog, and given it has an RSS feed...

matgb_links_fd. It'll mostly be cool blog articles I don't specifically want to comment on fully.

I'm feeling grotty and horrible, have a minor cold that's just making me feel annoying; not helped by downstairs neighbour keeping her window open and playing very loud music. She has a voice like a foghorn, sings along out of time, and has no sign of any self control. Two of the songs she plays regularly are dance/pop covers of Poison and a GnR song. Who knew?

I have new stock games to fiddle with...umm.. playing 'avoid the tv camera?'
I don't get why Adam decided to bring Xtv to geeksoc.. it'll either be filming people roll dice for D&D or other rpgs.. or watching people play boardgames.. which no doubt involves rolling dice.. or watching people fling cards about..

IT's been done before, XTV go through fits of trying to cover campus life, etc. They may want to interview people or possible have demo.

Probably not going to be gripping, but then, XTV, so you could say that anyway.

New games are good. If I'm awake, I'll try.

Did you happen to find one that works good right out of the box, and doens't ened a lot of tweeking? I've bene looking for one, but they're all followed by comments like "I had to tweek this.. I had to fix that.. I made this to go with it... etc."

I guess that I should specify that i'm using wordpress, huh? LOL!!

Anyhow, if you know of a really good pluggin, that I can just instal and be done with it, that'd be really cool.. Maybe something that does a weekly post, or one that doesn't post at all if you don't have any links that day?

Works out of the box. It's basically an RSS feed so updates immediately. Had to style it with CSS but that's because my template is now more than messed up. I took the idea from two wordpress blogs so it should be easy.

Mark used to have (years ago) a website called "support the project". Ask him about it, as it was his lunacy and I couldn't do it justice.

I miss The Project dearly, and can't really recreate it. It was an idea that seemed great at the time, and it still seems quite amusing, but.. now it just feels like it's been done to death.
