Shooting the messenger - media is to blame for everything

Conservative party leader "Dave" Cameron:

"I would say to Radio 1, do you realise that some of the stuff you play on Saturday nights encourages people to carry guns and knives?", said Mr Cameron.

Yup.. Definately. And listening to Marilyn Mansun makes me a high-school shooter, my Bodycount albums have persuaded me killing cops is fun, watching Pulp Fiction makes me a heroin user, watching Child's Play will turn me into a baby killer.

Shoot the messenger Dave, shoot the messenger.

Why do people constantly blame an entertainment medium instead of look at the actual idiots committing the offenses? By Dave's logic, I'm a psychotic mass murderer by now, maybe I should give in to all this stuff and actually go nuts on a killing rampage?

Cheap, attention grabbing gimmicks. That's all we get these days, from either of the big two. Oh, wait, the LibDems do it as well. Hang on, I liked that one.

With all the Dr Who I watch and kung-fu movies I see you would expect me to be some kind of time travelling ninja.... wait I just had an idea for a film!

Or alternativly, with all the Radio 4 satire and political comment I listen to you would expect me to be an exteremly cynical git. Oh right. Scratch that one, it doesn't work as well.

What with all the books I read, you would expect me to be able to construct sentances in English without mutilating grammar! See I can't!
