What does one do when one misses one's girlfriend?

My response is of course to set it as my desktop, because,w ell, I needed a new one anyway, and this one'll make me smile. Back home safe, knackered, may or may not get through my friends list this evening, doubt it. Oh yeah, news:
Oh yeah, best bit? After I'm trained, I can work from anywhere with a wireless connection (or an ethernet plug), and the walk to work will be fun, it's 5 minutes down the road from here, around the corner from
nadriel's flat. So that'll be me going to Yorkshire more often then...
What Does one do when one is missing one's BF terribly? It's a fair question; her response is to make this massively spoilery Jacobi in Dr Who desktop wallpaper that you probably don't want to look at if you haven't seen Utopia yet.

Got the phonecall this morning; celebration of said news may have delayed our getting out of bed a bit but, well, y'know. Woo hoo!Oh yeah, best bit? Could we compromise on "spank" rather than "hit"?

Date: 2007-Jun-18, Monday 22:40 (UTC)Oh, probably. Besides, it's only terrible puns that get to me, good puns are ok. Sometimes. In moderation.

Date: 2007-Jun-18, Monday 22:45 (UTC)Still, I suppose I can always threaten to take more pictures of you curled up naked and sleeping and post them on the intarwebz as an alternative activity to making terrible puns...

Date: 2007-Jun-18, Monday 23:10 (UTC)And yes, theoretically I could apparently work from anywhere, and if I have to come down to spend time in the office every so often I can stay with friends; gieven I crashed at

See, this is the problem with suddenly friending someone, it's like starting to watch a TV series halfway through it's run and none of the plot strands make any sense! LOL

Date: 2007-Jun-19, Tuesday 10:29 (UTC)Basically, until December last year I worked in a very high-stress low paid tourist sector job, loved it, but the pay didn't justify the stress and I decided I wanted to move to London. Since I got up here, I've been temping while trying to figure out what I want to do; the new job is fairly close to the sort of thing I think I might like -- it's "real" marketing work, helping firms figure out how to sell products better. I got a call Tuesday and a phone interview Thursday, and it all looks quite good.
Danke.

Date: 2007-Jun-19, Tuesday 13:04 (UTC)Speaking from experience, one of the best things you can possibly hope for from a job in London is next to no commute.
When I got my new flat I moved from a 45 minute drive or 75 minute tube+bus journey to a 10 minute walk. ZOMG so much better. I fall out of bed <1 hour before I have to be at work and can walk home for my lunches. If I leave work at 1800 I am home by 1815.
Enjoy!
(If you don't know what I'm talking about then nvm, but you soon will if you ever get a job an hour away from your digs!)
