List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.
Hmm...
1) The Pogues, Fiesta It's a song I did out every few months, many happy memories.
2) NiN, Perfect Drug I simply love this song, it's one of the best he's released to dance to and it just gets to me. It really pissed me off when the Vodaphone advert got pulled before it was re-released over here. Don't actually own my own copy, last I heard it was
aeranth playing it at the Cavern, which finally forced me onto the dance floor (
mapp played Closer. He got glowered at, it's on the list y'see). If anyone knows what the single version is on that I can buy much appreciated, the version on Lost Highway soundtrack isn't the single. Which also reminds me,
susannah_banana? I still have your copy of the video, remind me to actually give it back to you next time we see each other?
3) Jane's Addiction, Been Caught Stealin'. Hmmm. This is linked to the next song
4) Sisters of Mercy, This Corrosion. Right then. You always remember your first time, right? Well, I got up to dance to Jane's Addiction, bumped into a very cute girl (this was in Manchester Poly students union) who'd also got up. Lots of songs came on in a row I liked, as did she, and we kept dancing. Then the Sisters came on. I was wearing a Sisters shirt, so I was going to stay. She made it clear she didn't like them (we hadn't actually spoken at that point), but stayed dancing anyway. Even someone completely unable to read signs can pick that one up. She was, of course, back with her ex-boyfriend within a month. Story of my life...
5) Pulp, Babies. I've always loved this song, from way back when. The tape is in my car stereo at the moment, and, well, I think I may need to rerecord it soon...
6) The Undertones, Teenage Kicks. Well, y'see, there was this bloke, called John Peel. He liked this song. There was a day celebrating his life recently, which was cool. And last week, his autobiography was Book of the Week on Radio 4 as I drove into work each day. This got played a bit. Top bloke, and it was his favourite cheer me up song. Pretty good taste in my opinion, he got me into Pulp as well.
7) Oh... This is hard.Otis Reading, Dock of the Bay. It's either that or something by The Beatles. Or Underworld's Born Slippy. Meh, it's a great song...
Tag 7 people to keep doing it? Ok, I got tagged by
stonefox84 and
johnwordsworth. Who's from Bude. So it's only fair to tag
susannah_banana, what with her being a famous DJ and all (Hi Suze!). So, having tagged a DJ, how about a club promoter?
ollyb. Meh, bored with explanations.
nadriel,
tiredstars,
faeriecween,
aliennurai and, um,
lithium_doll, but only because she keeps proclaiming she's not a goth so I want to know what she does like...
It measures how many blogs link to your blog, but only those that ping www.weblogs.com, which I think is only paid accounts on LJ. A mention of a named lj user (like
matgb) links to the /users/username not the username.livejournal so you don't get links to there. But still, tis suitably silly.
Oh, happy birthday today to
daweaver, tomorrow to
_mindrape_ and the day after to
rx_ritalin. On that, can a non-paid user tell me what they get when they go to My LJ Portal? Sheer curiosity.

Date: 2005-Nov-02, Wednesday 02:54 (UTC)It's not bad, but a little pointless in some ways.
You can have as many goats as you want, move them around the screen, and make him 'wear' different things. Yes, I was that bored.
